DENTAL BRIDGES

A cost-effective resolution to missing teeth

Making a bridge

Dental Bridges are used alongside dentures and implants to overcome the problem of missing teeth. They are, however, more than a form of cosmetic dentistry. Common reasons for having a dental bridge fitted are to improve a smile and appearance, for the bite, speech, face shape, gum disease, to reduce strain placed on teeth either side of the missing tooth and to prevent them from leaning into the gap. The bridge is anchored to the teeth on one or both sides using metal bands held in place by composite resin or dental cement. There are various designs of dental bridge so discuss the most suitable method with your Norfolk House dentist.
