DR SIMON BUTLER
Simon qualified with a Licentiate in Dental Surgery from The Royal College of Surgeons of England (LDSRCS) in 1984, having trained at The London Hospital Medical College Dental School. He went into general dental practice in a medium sized practice in Chelmsford , Essex for two years before moving to a larger practice in Brentwood , Essex. While at Brentwood, Simon did one day a week at Billericay Oral Surgery Department as a House officer.
In 1988 Simon moved to Barnstaple, North Devon, to a small practice on the coast. After two years he decided to return to civilization and seek a partnership in a larger practice. He joined Norfolk House in 1990, becoming a full partner later that year.
Simon is a family general dental practitioner, carrying out all types of dentistry from check-ups to root treatments and everything in between. He is keen on postgraduate study and obtained his Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (MFGDP) in 1992 and his Licenced Associateship of the Faculty of Homeopathy (LFHom) in 2005. Simon is a founding member of GID (Gloucestershire Independent Dentists) and attends numerous postgraduate courses every year both in England and Germany. Simon has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, tooth whitening and periodontal (gum) disease.
