DR OLWEN EDWARDS

Olwen qualified in 1975 from Cardiff University and joined Norfolk Hose the following year as an associate to the then partners. She was under the impression that she would only be staying six months but in 1990 on the retirement of one of the partners she became a partner herself.

Olwen is a founder member of GID, a group she keenly supports, following its series of postgraduate lectures and events. Their programme includes a large number of national and international speakers promoting excellence in the industry. Olwen has a particular interest in helping phobic patients overcome their fears of dentistry.

She strives to create trust that nothing happens without prior explanation and consent and that there is a running commentary on events as they are about to happen. Olwen ensures the treatment takes place at a pace her patients feel comfortable with. She has achieved great personal satisfaction in her professional career from helping people overcome their worries and anxieties about their visit to the dentist.
